My name is Alexa Boyd and I am a children’s book Author & Illustrator based in Lawrence, Kansas.
I’m passionate about creating stories that help children navigate the ups and downs of adolescence. Drawing from vintage aesthetics and a love for physical media, I bring shape language, texture, and color together in ways that are nostalgic, warm, and emotional.
My favorite kinds of projects allow me to leave an impact. From creating library cards to encourage reading, to illustrating coping strategies in a fun, visual way, it makes me sparkle inside to welcome someone into a new world and leave it feeling lighter.
