Phoenix Stewart (b. 2004, Topeka, Kansas) is an interdisciplinary artist working across photography, digital and film processes, and experimental textile-based techniques, exploring themes of memory, remembrance, and the fear of forgetting. Their work considers how images act as vessels for time, loss, and personal history, using material experimentation to reflect fragmentation and preservation. Phoenix is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Kansas with a concentration in photography and a minor in art history, expected May 2026. They have exhibited in the LibArt Exhibition (2025) and will present work in an upcoming two-person undergraduate thesis exhibition.
